Strategic Leadership
Mike Mees is the founder and Chief Strategy Officer of MomentumX Strategy Group — and one of the few private-sector intelligence advisors who brings concurrent, federal and state law enforcement operational experience to every client engagement.
Mike’s experience serves simultaneously as an state criminal investigator, a federal task force officer, and the principal analyst of MXSG. This is not a background — it is an operational reality. The intelligence methodology, threat assessment discipline, and law enforcement liaison network he applies to MXSG client engagements are the same ones applied to federal and state criminal investigations.
His career spans over a decade of complex criminal investigations, protective intelligence operations, behavioral threat assessments, financial crime analysis, and crisis command — building programs from the ground up in environments where getting it wrong had irreversible consequences. He has directed intelligence operations targeting transnational criminal organizations, led multi-agency crisis responses under national media scrutiny, negotiated volatile incidents involving armed subjects with zero fatal outcomes, and developed POST-certified training programs adopted across multiple agencies statewide. As a behavioral threat assessment professional and Incident Commander, Mike brings a depth of operational credential that is rare in the private advisory space — and directly applied to every MXSG client engagement.
